Scott M. Gordon

Capital University Law School, 2009 Juris Doctor - Magna Cum Laude
A native of Delaware, Ohio, Scott most often practices law in Delaware, Franklin, and the surrounding central Ohio counties.
Scott’s practice has evolved throughout his career and now, primarily, focuses upon personal injury / wrongful death litigation; civil litigation (construction, real estate, contractual disputes); estate planning; and probate law.
Scott’s understanding of the interrelation of Ohio’s probate laws, wrongful death statute; as well as being well-versed in litigation tactics and strategies have allowed him to obtain very favorable results for his clients in many difficult circumstances.
However, given his desire to help his clients with most any circumstance they find themselves in, Scott still continues to regularly assist his clients in a wide variety of matters including, but not limited to: domestic relations, criminal defense, real estate transfers, and small business formation and transactions.
Notably, to assist Scott in certain criminal / traffic matters, he previously completed the training certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in DWI (OVI) Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. This intense training allows Scott to vigorously represent his clients charged with OVI and attack the tests his clients are subjected to when they are arrested for driving under the influence.
Scott is licensed to practice law throughout the State of Ohio and in United States District Court - Southern District of Ohio, located in downtown Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to his legal practice, Scott is affiliated and/or a member of the following organizations:
OWjL camp – Board Member - a summer residential enrichment camp for gifted and talented children hosted at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Del-Mor Dwellings – former Board Member - provides housing for families and individuals with mental disabilities.
Family Promise – former Board Member - a non-profit organization which provides temporary housing for Delaware County families as well as assistance in finding long-term housing and employment.
